I've been thinking about my time as a convenience store manager. I always did whatever I could for my employees and I'm reasonably sure that the good ones did their best for me too. I think, at the time, I took it for granted that they accepted me being gay, but the more I think about it, they really respected me. I find myself wishing I had done more than I had...or maybe just the chance to tell them how how much I appreciated them. Although I can't afford to be in a management position right now because of school, I hope I'll have the opportunity to serve employees like that again.

Hmm. I'm thinking super seriously of getting some hosting space and a domain name and setting up movabletype for the blog. It shouldn't be too difficult, and I've found reasonable hosting. Bleh, I'll think more about it tomorrow.

School's going well. I have a letter to write to an elected official for government. I may post it when I revise and refine it.

Today was payday and again I am brizzoke. bleh

Gah. After I got home from work today and was unsuccessful at finding food, I went to bed. As a result, I woke up about midnight and found a bite to eat and watched some Duckman.

Hmm. Blah. I have the first day of classes in the morning. And there's no basement in the Alamo.

Last night I had a couple of dreams I remember. In the first one, the world was going to be flooded, so a lot of people were on a train. I don't know where we were going, though. In another dream, we got a fine for our lawn being messy.

I think I've had my share of stupid customers today. This lady asked me about some software that we didn't have but another walmart has. I told her that different stores carry different titles. I believe her parting word to me was "Damn!"

Gah...they had me up front for an hour. I really hate that.

Hmm. An interesting thing happened at work tonight. One of the CSMs was having a particularly bad night of it, and when I went to get change from him I asked him if he liked Seinfeld. My intention was to remind him of the ''Serenity Now" episode, maybe to elicit a chuckle or to calm him down a bit. Instead, I got "I think Jerry Seinfeld is a Jewish queer and I don't like him." Normally this CSM is pretty cool--he works to get you your breaks and lunch on time, but I have to say I lost a great deal of respect for him tonight.



Blah. This was all last night (the 15th)--problems updating.

Bleh. I haven't posted in quite a while. Not a lot has been going on. Just a bit of work and the ever-present car problems. Jesus H. Christ, I don't know how much move money I can pour into this damn car. On top of that, it's not like I have the money to fix it, I have to borrow from my parents and endure the related guilt trips associated with that. Gah, I have so much shit to do tomorrow--pick up the car, go to the school to finalize registration, fight with the bank over overdraft fees, and then go to work for eight hours. Erg, g'night then.
